In a bold demonstration of service, compassion, and sustainable community impact, Lagos Pacific Lions Club successfully executed its much-anticipated 2-in-1 Legacy Project in two locations across Lagos State on Tuesday, June 24, 2025.
The first project which was a complete refurbishing and equipping of a Sickbay to Support Accessible Health Care to Pupils of Adeniyi Jones Primary School, was held at Adeniyi Jones Primary School, Alausa, Ikeja at 10:00am. The initiative saw the renovation and painting of the premises, donation of a fully stocked First Aid Box, hospital-grade bed and mattress, executive chairs, branding of the sickbay, provision of a weight measuring scale, and essential drugs, all aimed at improving healthcare delivery within the school and ensuring the well-being of pupils.
Immediately after, attention shifted to Agege, where the second project, “Claudiana Fowler Skill Acquisition Centre,” was launched at Unity Junior Secondary School at 12:00pm. This impactful initiative featured the renovation and branding of a classroom into a fully-equipped skill center, provision of hair dryers, gele and make-up kits, sewing machines, hairdressing and barbing equipment, shoe-making tools, and—critically—a two-year commitment for instructors and maintenance. In addition, beneficiaries received free eye screening, eyeglasses, diabetes and blood pressure checks, and free medications.
This dual initiative has further solidified Lagos Pacific Lions Club as a trailblazer in humanitarian service, having recorded one of the highest-impact service activities in the 2024–2025 Lions service year, not only in District 404B2 Nigeria, but also across Multiple District 404 and the wider Constitutional Area VIII Africa.
Speaking on the significance of the projects, District Governor Lion Tolulope Senbanjo expressed his admiration for the scale, planning, and execution of the initiatives. “I am highly impressed by the magnitude and thoughtfulness of the projects being commissioned today. Lagos Pacific Lions Club continues to set a benchmark in service excellence, and I commend every member, especially the leadership, for this outstanding legacy,” he said.
In her remarks, Club President, Lion (Dr) Yemisi Rasaq PMJF NLCF, attributed the club’s phenomenal success to intentional preparation, strategic planning, and mentorship from seasoned and experienced Lions within and beyond the district. “We did not arrive at this success by accident. We studied, we planned, we served—and we were guided by Lions who have walked this path. This is a testament to what is possible when vision meets commitment,” she shared.
The event concluded with a vibrant Appreciation Awards Presentation recognizing supporters, partners, and outstanding members whose contributions fueled the successful delivery of the every project and activity organized by the club during the 2024-2025 service year.
