On Saturday, July 12th, 2025, the Lagos Radiant Lions Club, in collaboration with Ede Royal Lions Club, carried out a meaningful community service project in Ede Market, Osun State. The initiative aligned with one of Lions Clubs International’s global causes—the Environment—and was aptly themed “Empowering Market Women and Promoting a Clean Environment.”

As part of this impactful outreach, umbrellas were distributed to market women to provide much-needed shelter from the harsh sun and heavy rain, helping to create more dignified and comfortable working conditions for these hardworking women. In addition, sanitation materials were donated to help maintain cleanliness within the market space and foster a healthier, more hygienic environment for all.

Speaking on behalf of both clubs, Charter President of Lagos Radiant Lions Club, Lion Olufolake T. Adegoke, and President of Ede Royal Lions Club, Lion Ayoola Olatunji, expressed heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the event. They reaffirmed the clubs’ shared commitment to uplifting communities and addressing real needs through service.

“Projects like this go beyond charity; they create lasting change. By empowering market women and promoting sanitation, we are enhancing lives and fostering sustainable development in our local communities. These are the kinds of impactful initiatives that reflect the true spirit of Lionism.”

This project stands as a testament to the power of collaboration and the unwavering dedication of Lions to serve humanity.

Real Service. Committed to Serve.
