On the 2nd of August 2025, Lion Olukemi Abimbola Eribake, MJF, NLCF, was formally presented to the public as the District Governor of Lions District 404B2 Nigeria. The glamorous and well-attended event was held under the distinguished auspices of the Multiple Council Chairperson, Lion (Dr.) Ibrahim ‘Jide Bello, PMJF, NLCF.
The occasion was nothing short of magnificent bringing together top echelon members of the Lions family, respected leaders from corporate establishments, traditional royalty, and dignitaries from across the country. It was a celebration of leadership, service, and shared commitment to the ideals of Lionism.
A District Governor’s public presentation is a formal and inspiring ceremony that sets the tone for the service year ahead. It highlights the incoming Governor’s vision, galvanizes support from stakeholders, and rallies the district’s leadership and membership behind impactful service goals.
The 2025–2026 Lions Service Year promises to be impactful under the leadership of District Governor Lion Kemi Eribake. A key highlight of the event was the unveiling of her ambitious ₦150 million fundraising initiative. This landmark project aims to empower the youth through the construction of a Youth Training and Empowerment Centre in Agidingbi, Lagos State—underscoring the District’s core focus on youth development, in line with Lions Clubs International’s global service pillars.
The event featured a fundraising segment where generous donations were made to support wide-reaching service initiatives, including sight programs, youth empowerment, hunger relief, and disaster response.
