Eko Legacy Lions Club, District 404B2 Nigeria, demonstrated its unwavering commitment to service on Thursday  September 25, 2025 with a humanitarian outreach to the St. Catherine of Siena Medical Centre, Mafoluku, Oshodi, Lagos. As part of the visit, the club donated essential pediatric items to support the care of infants and children at the hospital. In addition, food and gift items were presented to patients and their parents, bringing relief and encouragement to families in need.
Speaking at the event, members of the Eko Legacy Lions Club emphasized that such interventions go beyond material support, they provide hope, comfort, and a reminder that communities thrive when compassion meets action. Pediatric support, in particular, was highlighted as critical, since many families face difficulties accessing proper medical care for children. By stepping in, the club is helping bridge the gap and improving health outcomes for vulnerable children.
Second Vice District Governor, Lion Phina Origho, PMJF, NLCF, who graced the occasion, commended the initiative, describing it as an example of service in action. “What Eko Legacy Lions Club has done today reflects the very heart of Lionism, responding to real needs in our communities. Supporting pediatric health and standing with families at their most vulnerable moments is a true expression of care and service,” she said.
The event concluded on a high note, with patients families expressing gratitude for the gifts and medical support received. It was yet another reminder of the Lions’ enduring impact in communities across Lagos.
The Lions of District 404B2 continue to take up the District’s theme by providing Real Service and demonstrating a genuine commitment to serve.
