On Saturday, 31st May 2025, Eko Legacy Lions Club proudly unveiled its 5-in-1 Monumental Mega Legacy Project, a bold and compassionate stride towards transforming healthcare delivery in the heart of the Onigbongbo Community, Maryland, Lagos. This historic event was held at the Primary Healthcare Center, where the club, under the dynamic leadership of President, Lion Ifeoma Okoyeigwe NLCF, commissioned a series of impactful interventions.
The projects commissioned included:
Full refurbishment of the entire healthcare building
Equipping of the Eye Clinic
Equipping of the Tuberculosis Ward
Equipping of the Male and Female Wards
Equipping of the Maternity Ward
These initiatives were carefully designed to improve access to quality healthcare, enhance patient care, and provide a more dignified and conducive environment for both healthcare workers and patients in the community. By addressing critical needs within the healthcare system, the club has significantly boosted the morale of medical personnel and restored hope to hundreds of beneficiaries who rely on this facility.
The project was officially commissioned by District Governor Lion Tolulope Senbanjo PMJF NLCF, who expressed his joy and deep appreciation for the initiative. In his words: “I am ecstatic about the vision, dedication, and execution displayed by Eko Legacy Lions Club. This project will create a ripple of positive change in the lives of many and truly exemplifies the Lions spirit of selfless service.”
Also present at the event was the Second Vice District Governor Elect, Lion Phina Origho PMJF NLCF, who applauded the club’s efforts and noted: “This project is a shining example of what purpose-driven leadership and teamwork can accomplish. It speaks volumes about the heart of Eko Legacy Lions Club and the legacy we are determined to build.”
On behalf of the club, President Lion Ifeoma Okoyeigwe NLCF extended heartfelt appreciation to all club members, partners, and stakeholders who contributed towards the success of this remarkable project. She emphasized that their commitment and sacrifice made this dream a reality.
