Adedeji Olukokun, often affectionately known as “Omogidi,” is a multifaceted professional whose career encompasses data analysis, leadership within the Lions Club International, photography, music, and writing.
In the realm of data analysis, Deji has established himself as a proficient analyst. He brings valuable input as an IT business analyst with Mecklenburg County, where he applies his expertise in data mining, root cause analysis, and investigative processes. His academic journey includes studies at the University of Agriculture where he bagged a bachelor of science in Environment Management and Toxicology.
Deji’s commitment to community service is evident through his active involvement with the Lions Club International. Having joined as an omega Leo in 2005, he notably served as the pioneer District President of Leo District 404 B2 Nigeria and charter president of Ikeja Dynamic Lions Club, a role in which he demonstrated iconic leadership and dedication. His efforts in this capacities have been recognized and celebrated within the organization.
Beyond his professional and philanthropic endeavors, Deji is a passionate photographer and musician. He leads Imagekraft Photography as the team lead, capturing moments that resonate with authenticity and creativity. As a drummer, he expresses his musical talents, further showcasing his artistic versatility. Additionally, Deji engages in creative writing, sharing his thoughts and narratives through various platforms.
Lion Adedeji Olukokun played a pivotal role as the Marketing and Communications Chairperson for Lions District 404B2 Nigeria in 2024-2025 Lions Service year, significantly enhancing the organization’s visibility and engagement through innovative digital strategies. Under Lion Olukokun’s leadership, the district embraced contemporary digital marketing techniques, including the production of engaging video skits that highlights the Lions’ community service efforts. These skits not only showcased the organization’s impact but also attracted a broader audience to our initiatives. Additionally, the district’s active presence on social media platforms was amplified, fostering greater community engagement and awareness.
Recognizing the importance of storytelling, Lion Olukokun as a Leo spearheaded the creation of “Ileovasion” and now as a Lion the “Lions Paw Print”, a magazine that documents the district’s activities, achievements, and member contributions. These publications serves as both an informative resource and a motivational tool for members, reinforcing the district’s commitment to service and excellence.
By leveraging platforms like Instagram and Facebook, Lion Olukokun has ensured that the district’s initiatives reach a wider audience. The consistent sharing of content, including event highlights and member achievements fostered a sense of community and transparency, encouraging more individuals to participate in and support Lions’ projects. He also spearheaded the campaign that won his local club Ikeja Dynamic Lions Club the International Marketing Award of Lions Club International.
In acknowledgment of his outstanding contributions, Lion Olukokun received the prestigious Leadership Award of the International President reflecting his dedication to advancing the Lions International mission of membership growth through formation of Lions Clubs.
Through many efforts, Lion Adedeji Olukokun did not only transform the digital landscape of Lions District 404B2 but also set a benchmark for how service organizations can effectively utilize technology and modern marketing tools to enhance outreach and impact.
Lion Adedeji Olukokun also made significant contributions as the Zone 6C Chairperson within Lions District 404B2 Nigeria, demonstrating exceptional leadership and dedication to service. As Zone 6C Chairperson and now as Region 8 Chairperson, Lion Olukokun oversees a diverse group of Lions Clubs, including Lagos Indiana (based in the USA), Lagos-British (based in the UK), Lagos Shining Star, Eko Royal amongst others. His leadership has been instrumental in the formation and growth of these clubs, fostering a spirit of unity and collaboration across international borders. His efforts in club formation have been recognized and commended by the district leadership and Lions International.
Lion Olukokun’s dedication role as the Diaspora Service Partner Committee Chairperson last service year got widespread acknowledgement and praise for his outstanding efforts in bridging service initiatives between local and international Lions Clubs. His commitment to fostering global partnerships has been instrumental in expanding the reach and impact of service projects within the district.
Through his visionary leadership and unwavering commitment, Lion Adedeji Olukokun has significantly advanced the mission of Lions Clubs International exemplifying the organization’s core values of service, fellowship, and community development.
