Born in Onitsha, Anambra State, and proudly hailing from Obowo in Imo State, Lion Uche Amarachi Grace is a passionate and service-driven humanitarian whose journey in both healthcare and community service has been impactful and inspiring.
She began her education at O’Connor Memorial Primary School in Onitsha and continued her secondary education at St. Monica’s College, Ogbunike, and Girls High School, Nenwe. She obtained a Diploma in Public Administration from the University of Benin and went on to earn her Registered Nursing (RN) qualification from the Anambra State School of Nursing. She further pursued postgraduate studies in midwifery at Waterside School of Midwifery, Onitsha, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health from the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN).
Lion Uche joined the Lagos Royal Lions Club in 2015 and has remained a committed and active member. She served as 2nd Vice President in 2016, 1st Vice President in 2017, and Club President from 2018 to 2020 Lions Service Years. While serving as Club President, she was also appointed Secretary of the African Lions Convention for the 2019/2020 Lions Year, an impressive dual responsibility she carried out excellently.
In the 2020/2021 Lions Year, she served as a member of the Roll Back Malaria Committee, and in 2021/2022, she was appointed Zone Chairperson, where she provided strategic leadership and support to clubs within her zone. In 2022, she completed her Certified Guiding Lion Training, further equipping her to mentor and guide new clubs and leaders.
Over the years, she has served in various other committees, both as a member and as Vice Chairperson, demonstrating consistent dedication to the Lions ideals of service, leadership, and excellence.
