On Saturday, June 21, 2025, history was made as the newly formed Aviation Lions Club was officially chartered at a grand event held at Marriot Hotel, GRA Ikeja, Lagos. The colorful ceremony marked the induction of new members and the installation of Lion Capt. Chris Najomo, NLCF, as the Charter President, formally positioning the club as the 100th Club in District 404B2, a milestone achievement in the district’s growth and outreach efforts.
The club was proudly sponsored by Ikeja Viva L’amour Lions Club, a club known for its strong leadership and dedication to humanitarian service. Lions, guests, and dignitaries from across the district were present to witness the public presentation of this landmark club and to celebrate the expansion of the Lions movement in Nigeria.
The event was also an opportunity to mobilize support for future service projects through goodwill messages and sponsorships, reflecting the shared commitment to making meaningful impact across communities. In a remarkable display of growth and enthusiasm, the newly chartered club proudly boasts an impressive 46 members.
In his remarks, District Governor Lion Tolulope Ayodeji Senbanjo PMJF, NLCF highlighted the significance of the occasion within the broader context of the district’s achievements. “With the formation of 14 new clubs this service year, we are not just growing in numbers, we are growing in impact,” he said. He went on to express strong confidence in the Lagos Aviation Lions Club, stating, “I believe this club will stand tall among the strongest in our district in years to come. I trust in the capacity and abilities of the members to sustain our legacy of selfless service.”
The District Governor’s words underscored the importance of strategic club development and member empowerment in ensuring the sustainability of the Lions mission.
