The Ikeja Viva L’Amour Lions Club has successfully commissioned a comprehensive development initiative tagged the 6-in-1 Massive Mega Legacy Project, designed to enhance the learning environment at Opebi Primary School. This impactful event witnessed the unveiling of several critical infrastructure upgrades and educational resources including:
1. Renovation/Re-roofing of a block of 6 classrooms, now converted into a functional school hall.
2. Renovated and equipped library block, promoting literacy and academic research.
3. Renovated and equipped sickbay, ensuring students’ health and wellness are better managed on site.
4. Renovated teacher’s office with new file cabinets, fostering administrative efficiency.
5. Newly designed art gallery, encouraging creativity and visual expression among students.
6. Provision of a desktop computer, introducing digital learning tools and computer literacy.
This legacy project addresses multiple critical areas of the educational infrastructure, creating a more conducive, safe, and inspiring environment for learning and teaching. By integrating health, arts, digital access, and structural improvements, the club has set a high standard for sustainable community development. The initiative is not only a reflection of the Lions Club’s core values of service but also an investment in the future of Nigerian children.
